An avid litigator, Johana Quirantes began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney in Orlando, Florida. She was an Assistant State Attorney for five years, completing numerous jury trials and achieving every felony promotion available in the general felony division. Ms. Quirantes was ultimately selected to prosecute crimes within the Special Victims Unit, where she excelled in fighting for justice on behalf of Orange County’s most vulnerable victims.
Ms. Quirantes received her Juris Doctorate from Florida State University College of Law in 2017, where she graduated cum laude and was placed on the Dean’s List several times. During her legal studies Ms. Quirantes interned at the Innocence Project of Florida, reviewing cases of potential wrongful convictions, and became a Certified Legal Intern for the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, where she practiced in the Juvenile Courthouse. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Quirantes earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Florida International University, where she graduated summa cum laude. During her undergraduate studies, Ms. Quirantes was a full-time legal assistant at a multidisciplinary law firm, where she worked on cases of personal injury, family law, and criminal defense.
In her spare time, Ms. Quirantes enjoys traveling, hiking, photography, Pokémon Go, and all things science fiction. She is a dedicated wife and cat mom and cherishes family time above all else.
